Izzat, syah and i went for a walk around the pathetic eco park to do some portraits of aishyah. I had the chance to test out my new lens: Sigma 24mm 1.8. Im loving the bokeh it gives at a wide angle and the close focusing its capable of. very nice lens to use. I also got to utilize my sigma 50mm 1.4. Im loving the sharpness and bokeh of these fantastic lenses!

i Had a mini celebration with Aishyah for my birthday. We went to eat at Badoque cafe located at Simpang bedok For our early dinner. The ribs was huge and so was the Mac and cheese. Ribs was delicious! the meat was very soft and its worth the 28 dollars you pay. the Mac and cheese was very bad. I wouldnt order that. Serving size is huge which is good but taste wise, it was very bland and salty. macaroni was too soft and the cheese was really very bland. the noodle-wrapped prawn was very good. serving size was huge. Overall, the food serving size is very generous but i had a bad experience with the taste of the food. We went to bugis afterwards to get myself a birthday present. ( = i bought a very sexy shoe that really caught my attention. a relfective snakeskin adidas zx flux. Too beautiful to not buy. haha We went to the singapore sports hub after buying my shoes to take some photos. Would like to thank Aishyah for spending the night with me. So much love for you.
It's the end of the first week of internship! 11/15 more weeks to go!
Today i reluctantly went to pearl centre, chinatown with some of the usual guys to shoot. I Was quite happy with the outcome actually. After that we went to bugis to have our lunch/ early dinner and have some desserts at eazy eazy cafe where izzat works at to have some delicious waffles! i wish to shoot more often but ill be busy for the next 3-4 months.) ; Today i used the canon 6d with a 40mm 2.8 pancake lens( most of the time). enjoy! first try with natura 1600. a little dissapointed with the results as a lot of them were out of focus as its kinda hard to focus at night but it was a good try.
Alright guys. As promised, i'm going to talk about my wonderful trip to japan. Brace yourself as it is going to be a very long post. Some of the pics i took have been posted before writing this post. View from Starbucks. I went there for a week with my family and tried to go to as many places as possible. We took the 10 pm flight to Haneda int Airport and arrive there at abt 6 am japan time( they are an hour ahead of us). After collecting our luggage, we straight away took the train to the Shinagawa station to exchange our JR receipt for our JR passes. We had to wait till 9 O'clock for the info counter to open so we rest a little at Starbucks and waited for time to pass. Upon recieving our tickets, we book for the seats on the Shinkasen train(the bullet train) to Osaka. it takes about 3 hours from tokyo to osaka. Osaka Is really a beautiful place. There is something about japan that is just so peaceful. it's really a nice place to be in if you plan your journey properly. That was one of the problem i faced. Time wasted due to traveling. It will help A LOT if u can converse in Japanese. Like help you a lot more in traveling. while in osaka, we went to the Osaka castle. beautiful place but it would be even more beautiful if i had went a lil later during the cherry blossoms. i suggest you go during mid spring to sea the cherry blossoms. the Plum blossoms, another type of Sakura will bloom first and that is what i saw. still as beautiful but japan is flooded with cherry blossoms and not plum blossoms. this sums up my day 1 in japan.or the 2nd day, we took a train to Kyoto. a very nice place but what would have made the sight seeing around kyoto better was a tour guide. Just beside the JR station is our destination. the Inari( fox) shrine. Where u walk through a thousand Tori gates. we went to the Kinkakuji temple( the golden pavillion) after walking around the inari shrine It was a long and squeezy bus ride from kyoto train station. The golden pavilion was more like a walk around the park. a very nice place to walk and just enjoy the nice weather. Nothing more. For the third day, we went to Nara. known for their free roaming deers. They are very impatient when it comes to food so do be careful when feeding them. Bow to them and they will bow to you back. Due to time constrains, we only visited one of the temple. this is the most amazing temple i have ever seen. i was very impressed with the size of the temple. the pictures does no justice to its magnificent size. This is just the gate. the entrance to the temple. THis is the temple. The big Buddha is inside this temple. it may look small due to the wide angle lens but it really is huge. Overall, Nara is really a nice place. a very peaceful place to be in far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We head back to our hotel to take our luggage and head back to Tokyo. Reached our hotel at about 7;30. We went for a walk around shinjuku yodobashi area after putting our stuff the following day, we went for a tour to mount Fuji. It was kinda disappointing that we didn't get to see mount Fuji due to the bad weather but we did get to play with snow. for the first time in our lives! the next day, We walked from harajuku all the way to shibuya. torturous walk. i couldnt stand the cold + the cold wind blowing. bad combo. But it was worth the walk. looking at the shops and witnessing the popular shibuya crossing. we went for our friday prayers at one of the most beautiful mosque i've ever seen. the mosque is made of marble. all of it. Small but beautiful. i think it was turkish inspired? saturday, our 2nd last day in japan. we couldn't believe time pass by so fast. we went to Akihabara since my bro wanted to go there and see. it was heaven for him i guess. This place has a lot of electronics stuff. The last day was our free day. in the morning, we went to the Tsukiji fish market. nice fish monger and good food! my favorite shot taken in akihabara. 2 ladies wearing the Japanese traditional clothing some squid and scallop. im not sure how the cook/fry it but its delicious a japanese traditional wedding
